One of the most beautiful and most popular regions in Slovakia with tourists – Liptov offers everything – history, interesting places and natural beauties.

Natural secrets of the Low Tatras have been protected by the National Park Low Tatras since 1978. The biggest treasures are hidden under the ground, including the best-known complex of Demänovské jaskyne (caves).

The valley of Demänovská Dolina and the whole region of Liptov offer various possibilities of spending unforgettable moments. Experience a bit of history and visit precious historical monuments such as castles, open air museums and churches, most of which are on the list of UNESCO.

Vlkolínec is a sought-after village with lovely architecture and an open-air museum. This picturesque valley with wooden houses, which has been on the UNESCO list for 20 years already, is located only 16 km from the spa complex of Bešeňová.

The museum of Liptov village in Pribylina brings you back in time to the historical era of Liptov. One can imagine how Central Slovakia looked like back in the past thanks to medieval buildings of stone and elements of medieval culture. And even closer, only 6 km from the village of Bešeňová, there are rests of a Celtic settlement called Havránok.
